This survey will explore how people respond emotionally and psychologically to a diagnosis of MIS, and what factors may influence these responses. It will also compare experiences between people diagnosed with melanoma in situ (MIS) and those diagnosed with localized basal cell carcinoma (BCC) or squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
What’s the study about?
This survey will look at:
• How people feel emotionally and psychologically after being diagnosed with melanoma in situ (MIS);
• How those feelings change depending on factors like age, time since diagnosis, and whether someone has had other skin cancers;
• What kind of support people might need if they’re struggling emotionally; and
• How these experiences compare with people diagnosed with localized basal cell carcinoma (BCC) or squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).
Who Can Take Part?
You might be eligible if you:
• Are 18 years or older;
• Have been diagnosed with melanoma in situ (MIS) or localized BCC/SCC;
• Can read and understand English; and
• Have access to a computer or smartphone to complete an online survey.
Why get involved?
By taking part, you will be helping researchers better understand the emotional side of being diagnosed with an early-stage skin cancer. Your insights could make a real difference by helping shape future psychological support programs for people going through the same experience.
