The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Synergy grant Roadmap Options for Melanoma Screening in Australia (Melanoma-ROSA) APP2009923 commenced in 2022. Over the next 5 years, our aim is to co-design with consumers and healthcare stakeholders the roadmap for a targeted melanoma screening program. Synergy unites a multidisciplinary team that includes behavioural psychologists, epidemiologists, academic dermatologists, health economists, medical imaging experts, and consumers. 

We will advance research to address the following objectives:

[2] Apply artificial intelligence solutions to support doctors clinical decision making and investigate how artificial intelligence tools are best integrated into the clinical workflow
[3] Establish how often poeple should be screened for skin cancer based on melanoma risk groups
[4] Integrate mobile digital technologies (such as apps) into the clinical pathway
[5] Assess the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of a proposed melanoma screening program.
