The ACRF ACEMID is led by The University of Queensland, in collaboration with The University of Sydney, and Monash University. ACEMID unites a multi-modal team of scientists and clinicians and leverages resources in informatics and digital health. The initiative builds on well-established linkages with other research entities, hospitals and health services.

The research and clinical strength underpinning the proposed ACRF ACEMID initiative includes three complementary Centres of Research Excellence (CRE) funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC):

  • the CRE for the Study of Naevi
  • the CRE in Melanoma, and
  • the CRE in Telehealth.

Queensland, New South Wales and Victorian State Health Department e-initiatives will provide and support the informatics infrastructure and data storage capacity for the 3D total body imaging systems.

ACRF ACEMID will be closely linked with key researchers of the International Dermoscopy Society and International Skin Imaging Collaboration, working together to develop technology, technical and imaging standards.
